Former Attorney, current mother and philanthropist
Lisa Pfeffer Shapiro received her Bachelors Degree in political science from UC Berkeley in 1996. She then earned her law degree from USC in 1999. Following law school, Lisa took a position at White & Case and worked in the litigation department, focusing on domestic and international corporate litigation. She subsequently joined the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as Vice President Business Development. During her time at AFAA, Lisa worked closely with the AFAA President on compliance issues as well as maintaining AFAA’s critical relationships with various fitness organizations throughout the world.
Lisa is an active volunteer at the Laurence School. Since 2011, she has hosted and sponsored the new family dinner. In addition, she hosts countless school fundraising events at her home throughout the year. Lisa also volunteers at the school in the library and on the lunch committee; and, she has served as a room parent for both of her children’s classes. In addition, she is a member of the new family committee and has the privilege of giving tours at Laurence to prospective families.
Lisa was married in August, 2002 to PJ Shapiro. The couple has three children (Max 10, Jack 7 and Paisley 3) and currently resides in Encino, California.
