UTA Volunteers Return to HOLA

For the third year in a row, enthusiastic volunteers from the United Talent Agency (UTA) returned to help cap off the summer session at HOLA with a fun-filled day of games and activities for over 200 HOLA students from the YOLA at HOLA, SmartStart and Bridges programs. The volunteer group was made up of agents, assistants and interns from UTA and the event was held at the LaFayette Park Recreation Center. Many thanks to the coordinators of the day - HOLA’s Director of Leadership and Summer Programs Loren Rubin and UTA’s Events and Programs Manager Laura Roenick.

To begin the fun, the students were split into 12 beach-themed teams, with each team being coached by volunteers from the Longy School of Music of Bard College MAT program (now housed on the HOLA campus). The UTA volunteers each led different summer themed games, including a bean bag toss, marble and hula hoop relays and a jelly bean guessing contest. All of the members of the winning team, Team Point Dume, received medals, while the winners of the jelly bean guessing contest, Team Leo Carillo, took home the jelly beans! All of the kids went home with inflatable earth balls, courtesy of UTA. The day was a great end to the summer session. Thank you to UTA and the UTA Foundation for your continued support!
