Maria is a two time Trojan. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Throughout college Maria volunteered working with low-income and/or first generation high school students to help them successfully enroll into post secondary institutions. During her time as a therapist she worked with families, children, and transitioned age youth with mental health disorders. She is passionate about helping others succeed and giving back to the community. As a first-generation student herself, she saw the importance of mentorship and hopes to serve as a mentor for others here at HOLA. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new food, and watching sports. She has traveled to 21 countries and aims to visit the Seven Wonders of the World.
