TEACHING ARTIST - NEW GENRES
Raul Baltazar is a trans-disciplinary artist working and teaching in Los Angeles. As an artist, he acts as a “medium” between Mesoamerican and Western culture. Raul received both his Bachelor Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Otis College of Art and Design where he studied Sculpture, New Genres, Fine Art and Public Practices. He recently completed an Armory Teaching Fellowship and a CCF Emerging Artist fellowship. He has done performances at Red Cat and around Los Angeles. He has also exhibited work in Egypt, Australia, and Mexico. In addition, he has completed numerous public art murals. He is currently working on two works for Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA.
