Sonia Salazar

PAT, High School Program Director

An HOLA Alumni from the class of 2005, Sonia Salazar is more than familiar with HOLA.  Sonia found her way back to HOLA as the Bridges Program Coordinator, for four years, after receiving her B.A. from UC Santa Barbara. Sonia decided to continue her education and after receiving her Master’s Degree from Pacific Oaks College in Marriage and Family Therapy, she worked providing mental health services to families, homeless and foster youth. Her commitment to youth has driven her through her career where she has worked with Latino/a youth as a tutor, mentor and mental health therapist. In her spare time, Sonia can be found training for half marathons, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs – Bella and Kailana. Sonia’s favorite artist is Frida Kahlo and she loves collecting Frida inspired clothing, jewelry, shoes - well basically anything.
