Laura Greenlee

Laura is a Los Angeles native. Her first career was in the film industry. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Film/Communication Arts from Loyola Marymount University, she worked as a Line Producer on such films as Mi Familia, Dogma, Jersey Girl, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Deep End, Clerks II and the critically acclaimed A Better Life. She received her Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA in 2011 and has been working as HOLA’s College Counselor ever since. Through HOLA’s unique and effective college access program, Laura and her colleagues have had the joy of seeing HOLA’s PAT high school students transition to adulthood via successful college paths. HOLA alumni are finding their place in society as they are attending a variety of schools in California and around the country; schools such as Yale, Pitzer College, UPenn, Union College, all the UC’s, most of the CSUs and many of LA’s local community colleges.  This work also allows her to remain current on local trends in college admissions and financial aid through professional development, personal connections with relevant resources in the field. During her spare time Laura likes to play tennis, travel, try new food and watch movies.
