Chief Development Officer
Chief Development Officer Brooke Lykins joined Heart of Los Angeles in May of 2017. She brings more than twelve years of experience in the management of external relations for nonprofit organizations, and she leads fundraising and communications efforts on behalf of HOLA. Brooke specializes in holistic, community-engagement approaches to fundraising and partnership development, she has overseen the successful completion of two significant capital campaigns, and she is an expert on the topic of service enterprises.
Most recently, Brooke was Chief Development Officer at the Downtown Women’s Center, where she spearheaded an 89% increase in annual contributed income during her three-year tenure. Prior to that, Brooke was the Director of Development at UCP Wheels for Humanity, and she has also served as a Clinton-Orfalea Fellow, forging and managing corporate partnerships on behalf of the William J. Clinton Foundation.
Brooke received her Masters of Public Administration at the University of Southern California's (USC’s) Price School, where she was a Dean's Merit scholar, and she completed her undergraduate work with honors at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
