A new student art show is coming to the HOLA Visual Arts Studio and Gallery!

Join us for a free mixed media exhibition that highlights everyday objects and popular culture from the MacArthur Park neighborhood.  Through conversations about marketing, mass consumption, identity, and the Pop Art movement, HOLA's young artists explored different manifestations and representations of these themes. Inspired by Claes Oldenburg’s The Store (1961-64), La Tiendita will showcase how supermarket foods, smartphones, toothbrushes and athletic shoes can become rich subjects for art.

The opening will include a takeaway craft project, the Mandoline Grill food truck, and a special performance, Follow Your Own Path (2019), in partnership with France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX) resident artists, Stéphanie Rollin and David Brognon, aka Brognon-Rollin.

Friday, March 8 from 5 - 7 pm

HOLA Visual Arts, 2619 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057
