Dear HOLA,

I am so grateful that my kids are in this program. Before they came to HOLA, they had low grades, but now, they have good grades. Study Hall is really important for my kids because when they don't finish their homework, that is the place they can go and finish their homework. I hope they always have Study Hall. All the programs are really nice, but for me, Study Hall hleps a lot. I would like to also thank the SmartStart staff for helping my kids. They not only help my kids with their homework, but they also help when my children are sad or have problems.

Dear HOLA,

My sons were not motivated about summer school at all. Soon after getting on board with HOLA they were getting up and out every day. I wanted to know what the fuss was about so I volunteered to chaperone on the UCLA college tour. I found a lot of validation, freedom, and acceptance among the group. The atmosphere was comfortable, like being among family. 
I was shocked with my son Phillip's attitude at school- he seemed determined to do well. The first parent conference my son's scores were at grade level for the first time ever. He was far below prior. His teacher mentioned how well he was doing overall. I asked her to recheck his file to make sure his name was on it.
It has been amazing how much he and his brother have improved. I want to say I don't know what you are doing at HOLA, but I really think you are an extension of love, caring, building motivation, and commitment to meeting goals. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
