Lakers Youth Basketball Clinics
February 6th, 2010 kicked off HOLA’s Los Angeles Lakers Youth Basketball Clinics at John Liecthy Middle School. It was a great turn out with 60 students participating and receiving outstanding training from qualified coaches including Daryl Roper, head coach for the Crossroad High School Roadrunners, and NBA players from the L.A. Lakers NDL team “D-fense”. The players and coaches gave wonderful game advice and were very hands-on with students, teaching various skills to the 8-15 year olds. The camp was the first of many mini camps scheduled throughout the year on the first Saturday of every month. The students went through various shooting drills and performance drills like the ladder and the mini huddles. The students had a great time and HOLA would like to thank the Lakers Youth Foundation and Anthem Foundation for making this all possible.
