Fast approaching our 21st year, HOLA is nearly doubling the number of youth we serve, thanks to a precedent-setting partnership with the L.A. Department of Recreation and Parks that enables HOLA to utilize the newly renovated Lafayette Park Community Center across from HOLA.

Each year, HOLA honors outstanding individuals and corporations with awards for their commitment to improving the lives of children at our annual gala in November. Past honorees have included Steve Lopez, Tommy Lasorda, Paramount Studio's Rob Friedman, Dreamwork's Mike DeLuca, Lakers Owner Jerry Buss and many others. In 2008, HOLA awarded Jessica Biel with the National Impact Award for her dedication to helping charities across the country and her work with HOLA.

At this year's gala, HOLA plans to celebrate the Grand Opening of our new community park which gives us a unique opportunity to share our accomplishments and our exciting plans for the future.
