BOX OF EIGHT is a collaborative exhibition with Karen Carson as the instigating "curator". Eight HOLA artists were asked to each choose a younger artist in the program to be their exhibition companion. The partners could exhibit their works that were made independently, side by side; or they could produce together works that respond to one another in some visual or conceptual manner. Art is a very social activity as well as a singular, creative endeavor. It brings people together for both the doing and the viewing. This exhibit is meant to encourage mentorship, supportive activity, and artistic abilities, some of the many things for which HOLA stands. It is a place where students can grow and create together.
Opens on March 6, 2010 with a reception from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Exhibition Dates: Saturday, March 6, 2010 – Friday, April 2, 2010
